The announcement was posted on the business’s Facebook page on Friday, August 25, citing reasons including post-pandemic staffing challenges, nearby construction projects, and plans to focus on parenthood.
“8 months ago we were both blessed with this precious life pictured here that changed our whole world, shifting our focus into alignment,” reads the post. “We didn’t realize the gravity of the statement often heard by other parents, ‘Having a child is God’s gift to the world.’”
The shop will close indefinitely as of Friday, Sept. 1, according to the post, which expresses gratitude toward the many customers who’ve supported it throughout its five-year tenure.
“We are so grateful to each one of you who added us into your daily or weekly routine, invited your family into the bar during the holidays, and supported us from day one,” the post says.
For now, the owners will be focusing their entrepreneurial pursuits on CUT artisan. hair. design. next door at 29 Bloomfield Ave., described as their “longest standing and successful company.” The hair salon also offers extensions, designs, chemical treatments, color treatments, and more.
“This wasn’t an easy decision, but after much thought, council, and prayer we’ve decided this is the best decision for our family… we love you!” the post says.
Meanwhile, all Hardy’s retail items will be sold at 50 percent off until the closure.
